Calling all classic car owners and enthusiasts alike! Mark’s Auto Parts classic cruise, located at 22 Russell Road in East Granby CT is the place to be on a Monday night! This year the team logs their 23rd season into the books and it it’s evident the event is still growing – as we witnessed more than 900 cars on the field for the season opener, Monday June 11th, 2018.
The largest cruise night in New England takes place weekly on an unassuming property just a half mile from Route 20. About 20 minutes from Hartford CT & Springfield, MA – the location is central and convenient located minutes from I-91. The show is held Monday nights throughout the season (May to September) from 5PM – 9PM and is free!
Weather permitting, the 25 acre property known as “Marks” fills to the perimeters with the likes of antique models, American Muscle and most recently, Jeeps & Trucks for ‘themed nights’. The easiest way to discover more about the event is to visit their website: Mark’s Cruise Night Website.
There’s no doubt that the best part of coming to Marks is seeing history preserved through the vehicles on show! Personally I’ve spent a lot of time here over the years with my dad while he was in the process of restoring his 71′ Mustang. I can easily recall directing cars into the event as a volunteer when I was just a kid and selling sodas at the snack shack.
We attended the season opener for “Jeep night” with our 2016 Willy’s Wrangler. (Pictured below) There were so many unique cars on the field last night but my favorites were any and all of the vintage Ford Bronco’s, a Jeep Wagoneer and perhaps this teal 70′ Mustang. (Pictured above)
